CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – The Texas State women's golf team saw four student-athletes named All-American Scholars by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA), the organization announced this week.

Mattingly Palmer, Yvonne Chamness, Carla Bourdeaux and Miren Ontanon were selected based on their high-level academic records and their participation on the course. Honorees must have achieved an overall grade-point-average of 3.50 or higher and have played in 50% of the team's regularly scheduled competitive rounds, among other qualifications.

Palmer, Chamness and Bourdeaux also earned CSC Academic All-District honors as part of the organization's NCAA At-Large category in 2024-25.

The group helped TXST to a pair of tournament wins in 2024-25, finishing atop the field at the Texas State Invitational and Cardinal Challenge.

Mattingly Palmer
Competed in all 11 tournaments for TXST… Earned her highest finish of T3 at the Cardinal Challenge… Led the Bobcats at the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational (T36)… Registered a pair of rounds even or under par… Led the Bobcats with 3 eagles and was 2nd on the team with 343 rounds at even par… Added 62 birdies… Posted 1 top 5, 1 top 10 and 4 top 25 finishes… Was third on the team with 27 of 32 rounds counted toward the team score... Part of the TXST lineup at the Sun Belt Championship (T36, +15).

Yvonne Chamness
Sun Belt All-Tournament Team… Competed in all 11 tournaments for the Bobcats and advanced as an individual to the NCAA Lubbock Regional (T24, +7)… Led the TXST lineup at 8 tournaments and finished with a team-best 73.14 stroke average (min. 10 rounds)… Won her first collegiate tournament at the Cardinal Challenge (March 31-April 1)… Carded 5 rounds in the 60s (low 68) and 16 even or under par… Posted 4 top 5 finishes, five in the top 10 and 9 in the top 20… Led the team in birdies (99) and rounds at even par (393)… Tied for a team-best 29 rounds of 32 counted toward the team score... Part of the TXST lineup at the Sun Belt Championship (T6, +1).

Carla Bourdeaux
Competed in 10 of 11 tournaments for the Bobcats… Highest finish was T25 at the Texas State Invitational… Finished the season with a 77.66 stroke average… Had 18 of 29 rounds counted toward the team score... Part of the TXST lineup at the Sun Belt Championship (T40, +16).

Miren Ontanon
Competed in all 7 tournaments after joining the Bobcats in January… Highest finish was 2nd at the Cardinal Challenge… Posted 1 top 5, 2 top 10 and 3 top 25 finishes… Was second on the team with a 77.00 stroke average… Carded a pair of rounds in the 60s (career low 69)… Added a pair of rounds under par… Had 17 of 21 rounds counted toward the team score... Part of the TXST lineup at the Sun Belt Championship (T36, +15).
