Chamness Named First-Team All-Sun Belt Conference

NEW ORLEANS – Texas State's Yvonne Chamness continues to garner individual accolades after today being named to the All-Sun Belt Conference First Team as determined by official Scoreboard rankings.

Chamness, who was also selected to the Sun Belt Conference All-Tournament Team at the 2025 championship, finished sixth at the league tournament and was selected as an individual for the NCAA Lubbock Regional where she concluded her season tying for 24th.

The junior finished the season ranked No. 193 in the individual rankings with a 72.60 adjusted scoring average across rounds. Chamness topped the TXST lineup in eight of 11 tournaments and won her first collegiate tournament at the Cardinal Challenge. She collected four top three finishes, five in the top 10 and nine in the top 25 across the 2024-25 season.  

Statistically, Chamness led Texas State in rounds in the 60s (5), rounds even or under par (16) and birdies (99), while sharing the lead with 29 rounds counted toward the team score.

Chamness was a second-team selection in 2024, helping the Bobcats to the Sun Belt Championship and their seventh NCAA Regional appearance.
