GREENWOOD, Indiana – Texas State women's golf saw three student-athletes achieve College Sports Communicators (CSC) At-Large Academic All-District accolades for their work on the course and in the classroom during the 2024-25 season.

Mattingly Palmer, Yvonne Chamness and Carla Bourdeaux were all honored as part of the organization's list.

Eligible student-athletes in CSC's At-Large category are selected as individuals from 12 NCAA sports and have achieved a 3.50 cumulative grade-point-average, while competing as a member of the team's lineup for 70 percent of an institution's team scoring events or in the lineup at the conference championship tournament. Student-athletes must also be sophomores academically and athletically. 

Palmer, an economics major from Georgetown, Texas, played in all 11 tournaments for TXST earning her highest finish of tied for third at the Cardinal Challenge. She had four total top 25 finishes during the season and represented the Bobcats at the Sun Belt Conference Championship.

Chamness, who earned an individual invitation to the NCAA Lubbock Regional, is a management major from Austin, Texas. The junior was a first-team All-Sun Belt Conference selection and all-tournament selection, finishing in the top six of Sun Belt Conference golfers in the official Scoreboard Rankings and at the conference championship. She topped the TXST lineup in eight of 11 tournaments and won her first collegiate tournament at the Cardinal Challenge.

A journalism major from Hyeres, France, Bourdeaux competed in 10 of 11 tournaments for the Bobcats earning her highest finish at the Texas State Invitational.

The trio helped TXST to a pair of tournament wins in 2024-25, finishing atop the field at the Texas State Invitational and Cardinal Challenge.
