Women's Basketball Adds Junior College Standout Myla Harbor

SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State women's basketball and head coach Zenarae Antoine announced the signing of Hinds Community College transfer Myla Harbor to the Bobcats roster.

"We are excited to add Myla to the Bobcat family!" Antoine said. "She is a true 2-way utility player with size and more importantly the desire to be her best. Myla is a team player who will do whatever she needs to do to help her team win on and off the floor. This discipline starts with her upbringing and a can-do mentality!"

Harbor, a native of Ferriday, La., joins the Bobcats as a junior after spending her sophomore season at Hinds Community College and her freshman season at Copiah-Lincoln Community College. This comes after her high school career playing for Ferriday High School and Frisco Lonestar High School.

During her time at Hinds, she was an everyday starter for the Eagles. Harbor started and played in all 30 games of the Eagles season while averaging 8.5 points and 5.6 rebounds a night. She also had 45 assists, 39 steals and 12 blocks.

Harbor had 13 different nights where she put up double-digit numbers, including a season-best 23-point night against Holmes Community College. That night she shot 9-15 from the field which included 2-3 from beyond the arc. She also had 10 rebounds against Holmes for a double-double.

In her freshman season at Copiah-Lincoln, she averaged 4.8 points and 3.5 rebounds a game while getting 30 assists, 16 steals and four blocks. During her freshman campaign with the Wolves, she had two outings with double digits as well off the bench.

During her high school career, she split time at Frisco Lonestar and Ferriday. During her senior season at Ferriday, her team was amongst the best in the LHSAA District 2-2A standings. Throughout her time in high school, Harbor had a high-level of competition faced between her two schools.

Harbor is the fourth transfer to join the Bobcats ahead of the 2025-26 season. She is one of six newcomers Antoine has added to the program this fall, joining transfers Amyria Walker, Kyra Anderson and KP Parr and two incoming freshmen Kaliyah Murphy and Angela Carroll.
