SAN MARCOS, Texas – Wichita State transfer KP Parr will be joining Texas State women's basketball for the 2025-26 season, Head Coach
Zenarae Antoine announced Monday.
Parr joins the Bobcats after spending her freshman season at Wichita State. She played in 32 games while scoring 113 points and bringing down 92 rebounds. She scored a season-best 13 points against Missouri State on Nov. 13, 2024 in just her third appearance of her career.
"Kiyleyah is a relentless competitor who brings a winning mentality that comes from within," Antoine said. "Playing at La Vega High School under Coach Marcus Willis, with back-2-back championships, multiple high school honors & a year of collegiate experience elevates our guard play. KP will have an immediate impact on the floor with her court vision, IQ and quickness."
Parr prepped at La Vega High School where she led the team to back-to-back 4A Texas State Championships and was named MVP in both championship games. She was the 4A Player of the year in 2023 as well. She was named All-State, All-Region, and All-District all four years of her high school career. She also played volleyball and competed in track and field in high school.
Parr is the second transfer to join the Bobcats ahead of the 2025-26 season. She is among four newcomers Antoine has added to the program this fall, joining transfer Kyra Anderson and two incoming freshmen Kaliyah Murphy and Angela Carroll.
