SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State track and field returns to action Thursday and Friday when it heads to Austin, Texas, to compete in the Texas Invitational. The two-day meet will take place at Mike A. Myers Stadium and will begin at 3:30 p.m. CT on Thursday and 9:30 a.m. CT on Friday.
Texas State track and field will have 48 athletes competing in 27 events at the meet.
Heading into the Texas Invitational, the men's team is ranked No. 26 in the country, and the women's team is ranked No. 46. The Bobcats also have four event squads—women's shot put, men's 100m, men's high jump, and men's javelin—ranked in the top 25 of the NCAA.

Kason O'Riley—are ranked inside the top 10 of their events.
Roberts leads the NCAA in the women's hammer throw after recording a mark of 70.97m/232-10 at the Mt. SAC Relays last Saturday and is the only athlete to record multiple marks over 70 meters this season.
On the men's side, Preddie is one of eight athletes in the NCAA ranked in two individual events. He is ranked seventh in the triple jump (16.50m/52-8) and 10th in the long jump (7.87m/25-10).
The third athlete ranked in the top 10 of the NCAA is fellow jumps squad member O'Riley. O'Riley moved up to sixth in the NCAA for the high jump after recording a mark of 2.20m/7-2.5 to win the Mt. SAC Relays.
