SAN ANTONIO, Texas. – Texas State softball will head to San Antonio to resume its halted game with UTSA from March 26 and play the originally scheduled full game. The halted game will resume at 4 pm with the second game resuming approximately 30 minutes after the finish of the halted game.
Both the
halted game and
full game will be streamed on ESPN+.
The Bobcats come into the week with a 28-12 record, having an 11-4 record in Sun Belt action after sweeping the series with Southern Miss this week last weekend.

ABOUT THE BOBCATS:
Texas State is coming off a 47-win campaign and an appearance in the NCAA College Station Regional after winning the Sun Belt Conference Tournament in 2024. The Bobcats were selected to finish 1
st in the Sun Belt Conference Preseason poll. The team currently sits in first place in the Sun Belt.
The Bobcats have a new look to them this year, but return key position players like outfielders
Ciara Trahan,
Emilee Baker, and
Sydney Harvey, pitchers Maddy Azua,
Presley Glende,
Analisa Soliz and
Abigail Jennings, catchers
Karmyn Bass,
Makayla Hall, and
Megan Kelnar.
The Bobcats also brought in four transfers, all from Power 4 schools,
Aiyana Coleman (Texas A&M),
Keely Williams (Texas A&M),
Kate Bubela (UNC),
Emma Strood (LSU) to round out the team.
Also joining the team was seven freshmen. Through 40 games so far, 25% of Texas State's starters have been freshmen.
Erin Peterson leads the freshmen with 40 consecutive starts at shortstop, one of just seven known freshmen in the nation to have started every game of the season.
The Bobcats currently have four players batting above .300, led by
Aiyana Coleman at .443. Coleman leads the team in hits (43) home runs (13) and RBI (40) Rounding out the top of the order is
Bailee Slack (.349),
Megan Kelnar (.317), and
Keely Williams (.313).
ABOUT THE ROADRUNNERS:
UTSA comes into the week with a 16-25 record on the season, and they are 3-15 so far in American Athletic Conference play. Last weekend the Roadrunners went 1-2 in their series with UAB.
UTSA's batting is led by Sabrina Wick who has a .313 batting average. She is the lone Roadrunner batting above .300. Katia Reyes leads the team in RBI with 24.
The Roadrunners most effective pitchers are Reagan Stoudt and Ava Eldridge. Stoudt has a 5.13 ERA in 42.1 innings of work with 20 struck out batters in the process. Eldridge has a 5.38 ERA in her 54.2 innings of work, she's struck out 35 batters.
