Chase Mora is among three starters to return. Last season saw him hit six home runs and posted 49 RBI. The junior enters the season needing two more homers to crack the program's top 10 list.
Ryne Farber played in 40 games and made 38 starts between centerfield and designated hitter. This season will see the sophomore move into the infield after batting a team-high .340 with eight steals and 25 RBI. Behind the plate,
Rashawn Galloway hit .279 with two round trippers and 19 RBI over 37 games including 29 starts.
Â
Slated to start on opening day on Friday is

ABOUT BINGHAMTON
Binghamton compiled a 21-29 record last season including a 10-14 record in the America East Conference. The Bearkats were picked to finish second in the league in the preseason poll behind Bryant. They will play their first 12 games on the road before their home opener against St. Bonaventure on Mar. 11. Other non-conference road series sees Binghamton travel to East Tennessee State, Elon and Missouri.
Â
Getting selected to the all-conference preseason squad were Devin Bad, Zach Rogacki and Evin Sullivan. Bade, a third baseman, led the team with a .326 average and was second in doubles (11), triples (2), home runs (6), runs (31) and RBI (34). Behind the plate, Rogacki hit .310 in 24 games with 13 RBI, five doubles and two homers. Sullivan returns after batting .316 with a team leading 12 doubles. He also drove in and scored 22 runs.
Â
Friday night will see Ryan Bates get the ball. Last season, he went 1-1 with a 5.88 ERA in 33.2 innings over seven starts before suffering a season-ending injury. The right-hander also struck out 27 and held opponents to a .212 average but issued 21 walks. Freshman Brady Bouchard gets the start on Saturday and rounding out the rotation is Colin Rhein, who struck out 40 in 58 innings last year at Stony Brook.
