Women's Basketball on the Road at SFA

NACOGDOCHES, Texas — Texas State women's basketball will be back on the road at SFA on December 6 at 8 pm. The game will be streamed on ESPN+. 
 
SERIES HISTORY VS SFA
  • Texas State is 11-56 all-time against SFA.
  • Texas State is currently on a four-game win streak including the 2023 meeting between the two teams when Texas State lost 89-79 in the first round of the WNIT.
  • Texas State last won on Feb. 1, 2012 by a 95-87 scoreline.
 ABOUT THE LADYJACKS
  • SFA enters the weekend with a 5-2 record with their losses being to LA Tech and Longwood. The Ladyjacks are 4-0 at home.
  • The Ladyjacks are led by head coach Leonard Bishop who is in his third season at the helm of the program. He has a 56-20 record in his tenure.
  • Harmanie Dominguez and Myka Perry lead the Jacks in scoring with 14.9 and 14.7 points per game, respectively.
  • Defensively, Cha Gardner leads with 8.3 rebounds per game while Key Roseby averages 7.7.
MEET THE ROSTER
  • The Freshmen: Texas State has added two freshmen, Angela Carroll and Kaliyah Murphy.
  • The Transfers: Texas State has added seven transfers, including three Division I transfers. 
  • The Returners: Antoine returns four members from 2024-2025 to this year's team.
    • Saniya Burks leads the returners for minutes played and points scored last year as she enters her sophomore season. She started the season with a nations-best 34 points against Ohio and has double digits in six of seven games so far this season.
    • Taleiyah Gibbs played in 25 games for the Bobcats last season off the bench and returns for her junior season as well.
    • Also returning are Mia Galbraith who missed the year with an ACL injury, and Takeira Ramey who missed the latter half of last season with an ACL injury.
UP NEXT
  • The Bobcats will return home for a game against UNT Dallas as their final game before the start of Sun Belt play. The game against UNT Dallas will be on Dec. 10 at 5 pm as part of a doubleheader with Texas State men's basketball. The women will tipoff at 5 pm and fans can purchase tickets at txst.com/tickets. Texas State's next home game will be Dec. 17 at 5 pm against Louisiana.
