Women’s Basketball Adds Texas Talent Hayden Hearst on National Signing Day

SAN MARCOS, TX — Texas State women's basketball head coach Zenarae Antoine and the Bobcat coaching staff have announced the addition of Hayden Hearst to its 2026 Early Signing Class.

"[Hearst] will immediately impact our program with her length and athleticism," head coach Zenarae Antoine said. "When you add her desire to be her best in the classroom and on the hardwood, we exponentially add to the class. Hayden has the intangibles needed to succeed and it starts with her bubbly & welcoming attitude. It is a GREAT Day to be a BOBCAT especially when we add high quality student-athletes like Hayden to the Texas State University campus family."

Hearst is a 6'4 forward out of Mansfield, Texas who goes to high school at Legion Prep. She is ranked as a Top 20 2026 Prospect in Texas by Premier Basketball. She will add size and grit to the Bobcats roster as a forward.

WHAT THEY'RE SAYING …
Coach Dre Lewis, AAU Coach:

"Congratulations to Texas State Women's Basketball!

Big-time kudos to the staff at Texas State for landing one of the most impactful players I've had the privilege to coach—Hayden Hearst. Hayden is an elite rim protector, relentless rebounder, and a true difference-maker on both ends of the floor. Her presence elevates winning and her character off the court is just as impressive. She is a high integrity, high motor, and high impact player.

You're not just getting an impact player—you're getting a great human being!

Hayden—go and DO WORK! Proud of you!"

Coach Otis Nicksion, Head Coach UNT Dallas:
"Hayden will bring her passion and energy for the game of basketball to the Texas State Women's Basketball program. Her best basketball is ahead of her. She can guard all five positions on the floor. She's a great talent and an even better person. Texas State Women's Basketball just got better!!!"

Coach Moriah Jefferson, WNBA Player:
"Words cannot express how proud I am of Hayden. To say that she is a hard worker is an understatement! Hayden embodies all the great qualities that you not only want in a player, but a person. It has been a great pleasure to spend time learning her knowledge and passion that she carries for the game. Training Hayden has brought me so much joy and though it saddens me to give up that responsibility, I couldn't be more excited to watch her journey and see the continued growth along the way."
