CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Sakke Siltala, the Sun Belt Conference's Golfer of the Week last week, shot 4 under (68-70, 138) on Monday to sit in seventh of the individual leaderboard of the Lewis Chitengwa Memorial to help pace Texas State after the first two rounds at the Birdwood Golf Course (Par 71, 7,116 yards).
 
The Bobcats were in seventh after day one of the two-day tournament with a team score of 5 over 573 (288-285). They are four strokes back of Arkansas and North Florida for third place. Tennessee leads the field with a 23 under 545 (276-269).
 
Siltala shot under par in both of Monday's two rounds, including 3 under in the first round. He was 1 under in the second and had 13 birdies throughout the day. He is 4 strokes back of the leaders, Bryce Lewis of Tennessee (8 under, 71-63 134) and Luke Clanton of Florida State (8 under, 68-66 134).
 
Kasper Nyland was tied for 18th after the first two rounds with a 1 over (72-71, 143). He bounced back from the 72 in the morning to shoot even par in the afternoon.
 
Marcelo Garza bounced from his first round with a 1 under 70 in the second to finish the day 6 over (78-70, 148) and tied for 50th.
 
The final round will start at 8 am ET/7 am CT on Tuesday.
