SAN MARCOS, Texas – A two-game midweek series between Texas State (16-16) and Texas (19-13) begins on Tuesday when the teams meet at Bobcat Ballpark for a 6 p.m. first pitch. The teams will then play up in Austin at UFCU Disch-Falk Field on Wednesday at 7 p.m.

Tuesday's game will be streamed on ESPN+ while Wednesday's contest will be on Longhorn Network. Both games will also be broadcast on KTSW 89.9 FM and have live stats available.

The Bobcats snapped a six-game losing streak on Sunday with a 7-4 win at Marshall to salvage the series. This past weekend was the start of a stretch of playing eight of nine games on the road with Tuesday's game being the lone home contest.

Kameron Weil comes in batting .357 with a .471 OBP, 12 runs scored and five stolen bases.
Daylan Pena paces the squad with 27 RBI and 11 doubles while batting .337 with six homers. He is also on a 27-game reached base streak that is tied for the fifth longest in program history since 2003.

Tony Robie. The right-hander is 3-2 with a 6.12 ERA in 25.0 innings spanning 12 games including five starts. He most recently tossed two scoreless innings on Sunday to earn the win in West Virginia.

The Longhorns are coming off a series loss at home to BYU. In midweek games, UT is 6-2 with all of them taking place in Austin. Tuesday will be its lone midweek contest on the road.

Six players are hitting over .300 led by Jaden Thomas at .392. He has also scored 35 runs, driven in 23, hit 11 doubles and seven home runs. Jalin Flores comes in batting .371 with a team leading 37 runs, 33 RBI, 14 doubles and 13 homers. Max Belyeu has added 11 round trippers with 30 runs scored and 29 RBI.

Taking the hill on Tuesday will be Chase Lummus. The lefty has thrown nine innings with nine strikeouts and a 2.00 ERA over five appearances including one start. Wednesday's starter is still to be announced.

SERIES VS. THE LONGHORNS
Texas leads the all-time series 55-15 but Texas State has won three of the last five meetings. The Bobcats claimed the first meeting this season in a dramatic 11-10 game in the Astros Foundation College Classic.

When hosting the Longhorns, TXST is 2-9 all-time with the last win being a 7-6 walk-off victory on Apr. 23, 2019. In Austin, the Bobcats are 12-44 that includes wins in the last two games.

Last time Texas State won three straight games against Texas was a four-game stretch from May 2, 2000 to Apr. 23, 2002 with all of them taking place in Austin.
