SAN MARCOS, TEXAS – Elisabet Runarsdottir,
Daniel Harrold and
Melanie Duron all took down records on day three of the Bobcat Invitational on Saturday.
Elisabet Runarsdottir broke the Icelandic national record in the women's hammer throw for the second time this season, Harrold set the school record in the men's 110-meter hurdles, and Duron broke the meet record in the women's shot put.Â

In her last throw of the event, Runnarsdottir marked a 70.33m/230-9 to win the hammer throw and break the national record. Her mark registered as the No. 1 throw in the NCAA this year, the 19th-best throw in NCAA history, and the 7th-best throw in school history.Â

Harrold set the Texas State record for the men's 110-meter hurdles, when he recorded a PR of 13.61 and placed first in the event. Harrold broke his previous record of 13.64 that he set in 2023. He is now ranked No. 7 in the NCAA and No. 1 in the Sun Belt.Â

Harrold was also a part of the men's 4x100-meter relay team, who along with
Shawn Collins,
Brian West and
Dominick Yancy, placed first with a time of 39.80 and set the 9th-best time in school history.Â

In the women's shot put, Duron threw 16.44m/53-11.25, breaking the meet record she set last year, with a throw of 16.34m/53-7.5. Duron took home first in the event and is ranked No. 18 in the country.Â

Carly Watts placed third in the shot put with a season-best throw of 15.29m/50-2.

In the women's 4x100-meter relay,
Taejha Badal,
Ma'Khi Falkquay,
Kaylee Lewis and
Kerris Roberts, recorded a 44.71, which is the 3rd-best time in school history. The mark also broke the meet and facility record, but Arizona State placed first and set both those records with a 44.66.

Badal found the podium again and placed second in the women's 100 meter with a PR of 11.55 (non-legal wind time).Â

The No.1 ranked freshman in the country for the women's hammer throw,
Lara Roberts, competed on Saturday and placed third with a mark of 62.91m/206-4. Roberts is ranked No. 7 overall in the country for the event.Â
