In a week against four teams from Power 5 conferences, the Bobcats closed it out on a high note with a 13-4 win over Washington State in the final game of the Karbach Round Rock Classic. It was the program's 14th win over Power 5 team since the start of the 2022 season.

Ryne Farber continued his hot start to his collegiate career. The freshman is batting a team-high .600 (15-for-25) that also ranks eighth in the nation. He also paces the squad with nine runs, eight RBI, seven walks, four doubles and a .706 OBP.

Alec Patino and
Cameron Thompson are hitting .400 with seven and five RBI, respectively.
August Ramirez has hit two home runs on his way to batting .389. Also with two round trippers on the season are
Aaron Lugo and Thompson.

Slated to start his second straight midweek contest is
Tony Robie. The right-hander surrendered three runs in 1.1 innings last Tuesday at No. 5 TCU.

Drayton Brown leads the entire staff with nine strikeouts.

ABOUT PRAIRIE VIEW A&M
The Panthers swept their second straight weekend when they competed in the Andre Dawson Classic in Vero Beach, Florida. They also won all three of their games of the Cactus Jack HBCU Classic that was held in Minute Maid Park on opening weekend. PV's lone loss was last Tuesday at Houston by a score of 27-1.

Garrison Weiss leads the Panthers with a .444 average and eight runs while recording two stolen bases. He has also hit one of the team's four homers along with Michael Burroughs (4 RBI), Trenton Bush (7 RBI) and Isaac Davila (4 RBI). A team best three bases have been swiped by Lee Allen (.368 AVG, 7 runs).

Earning both saves this year has been Victor Mendoza, who has struck out six in six innings and yet to allow a run over three contests. Both Leonardo Bravo (2-0, 9.82 ERA) and Elijah Breeden (1-0, 5.63 ERA) have made four relief appearances.

SERIES VS. THE PANTHERS
Texas State has dominated the all-time series with a 42-1 advantage. The Bobcats have won 35 consecutive meetings including a 7-2 win last season. The lone loss took place in San Marcos on Apr. 16, 1986 as the Panthers claimed the second game of a doubleheader 8-4.
