SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State soccer head coach
Steve Holeman announced the addition of
Eszter Toth to his staff as an assistant coach on Monday.
"Bringing Eszter on board as our new assistant coach is a game-changer," said Holeman. "Her organizational skills, outgoing nature and magnetic personality are an invaluable addition. Coupled with her knowledge of the game and coaching ability, we are set up for success on and off the field."
Toth comes to San Marcos after spending the 2023 season at CSU Bakersfield. Prior to joining the coaching rankings, she spent the summer of 2022 competing for Los Angeles SC of the United Women's Soccer league and later moved on to Italy where she played for Real Meda CF.
"I am very grateful and excited to be here at Texas State and working alongside Coach Holeman, Zapata and Stockie. I aim to contribute as much passion and dedication to the growth and success of our team as I can," said Toth. "I look forward to being a part of this well-developed culture that the current staff has fostered and developed of the athletes, helping them grow on and off the field. The Bakersfield, California native played four years for the Roadrunners where she appeared in 55 matches and started 20. Toth would total nine goals and five assists with a season best six goals and four assists coming in 2019.
She wrapped up her collegiate career at Missouri Western in 2021. In her lone season in St. Joseph, Missouri, she finished tied for second on the team with five goals and added an assist over 19 matches. Her performance on the pitch earned her All-MIAA Second Team honors.
Toth graduated from Bakersfield Christian High School and helped lead the Eagles to a Valley Championship.
