Hall Signs with Texas State

SAN MARCOS, Texas – Joining the Texas State men's basketball team in its 2025 signing class is DJ Hall, announced by head coach Terrence Johnson on Thursday.

"DJ is a great addition to our program. He's a proven winner and competitor who hails from a great family," said head coach Terrence Johnson. "With his skill, feel and IQ, we are confident that he can be an impact player early on. We're looking forward to DJ continuing his winning ways in a Bobcat uniform."

Hall will join the Bobcats after graduating from Plano East High School. Last season saw him average 15.7 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game to earn all-state and all-region honors. He also helped lead the Panthers to the UIIL 6A State Championship with a perfect 40-0 record. The forward finished the title game with 18 points on 7-of-13 shooting and grabbed six rebounds to earn MVP honors.

One of six children, Hall joins his sister Donavia in playing collegiately as she is currently a junior on the SMU women's basketball team. DJ Hall choose Texas State over offers from Colorado State, Louisiana Tech and Oral Roberts.
