STEPHENSVILLE, Texas — Texas State women's basketball will close its road trip on Wednesday, December 4 at 7 pm at Tarleton State. This will be the Bobcats second to last road game of the non-conference slate.
 
SERIES HISTORY
• Texas State has a 4-4 record all-time against Tarleton State.
• The two teams have not faced off since 1983.

MEET THE ROSTER

• The Freshmen: Texas State has added four freshman, Heather Baymon, Saniya Burks, Takeira Ramey, and Melinda Winston.
  • Three of the four freshmen played high school basketball in the state of Texas (Burks, Baymon, Winston) while Ramey is the lone freshman coming from out of state.
  • All four freshman have seen minutes and scored this season. Burks started in the season opener versus Eastern Michigan.
• The Transfers: Texas State has added six transfers, including five Division I transfers. 
  • Ebba Zalamans is the lone Junior College transfer joining the team for 2024-2025, coming from McCook as a redshirt sophomore.
  • Head Coach Zenarae Antoine brought in five Division I transfers including Ja'Mia Harris (Kansas State), Destiny Terrell (Incarnate Word), Blake Matthews (Bucknell), Taleiyah Gibbs (Howard), and Mia Galbraith (Oklahoma State).
• The Returners: Antoine returns five members from 2023-2024 to this year's team.
  • There are two 5^th years on the Bobcats roster that have played the entirety of their careers as Bobcats, Nicole Leff and Sierra Dickson.
  • Also returning this season is third year Morgan Hill, second year Crystal Smith and second year Jaylin Foster.

 
THE BOBCAT BENCH:

• Texas State is currently ranked No. 32 in the nation for its average of 30.5 bench points a night. The Bobcats have outscored their opponent's bench in three of their five games this season.

 
ABOUT THE TEXANS

• Tarleton State finished the 2023-24 season with an 11-20 record, going 7-12 in WAC play. 
• They are currently 4-4 this season with wins over New Orleans, Northwestern State, Houston Christian and Delaware.
• The Texans are led by 2nd year head coach Bill Brock, who has a 15-24 record in his career.
• The Texans leading scorer is Arieona Rosborough who has 90 points so far this season for an average of 11.3 per game. Elise Turrubiates leads the rebounding with 6.1 a night and 49 on the season.

Texas State will return home for a Sunday matinee game with UNT Dallas on Dec. 8 at noon. This game will be part of a doubleheader with Texas State men's basketball as they take on Rice.
