Women’s Hoops Hits the Road to Face TCU on Wednesday

FORTH WORTH, Texas — Texas State women's basketball heads back on the road for a meeting with in-state opponent TCU this weekend. The game will tip off at 6:30 pm on Wednesday and will be streamed on ESPN+.

SERIES HISTORY

Texas State trails 8-3 in the series history.
The last time these two teams faced off was in 2019 when the Bobcats lost 79-52.
Texas State's last win was in 2012.

MEET THE ROSTER

The Freshmen: Texas State has added four freshman, Heather Baymon, Saniya Burks, Takeira Ramey, and Melinda Winston.
- Three of the four freshmen played high school basketball in the state of Texas (Burks, Baymon, Winston) while Ramey is the lone freshmen coming from out of state.
- Baymon, Burks and Winston have all seen minutes already this season, with Burks starting in the season opener at Eastern Michigan.
The Transfers: Texas State has added six transfers, including five Division I transfers.
- Ebba Zalamans is the lone Junior College transfer joining the team for 2024-2025, coming from McCook as a redshirt sophomore.
- Head Coach Zenarae Antoine brought in five Division I transfers including Ja'Mia Harris (Kansas State), Destiny Terrell (Incarnate Word), Blake Matthews (Bucknell), Taleiyah Gibbs (Howard), and Mia Galbraith (Oklahoma State).
The Returners: Antoine returns five members from 2023-2024 to this year's team.
- There are two 5^th years on the Bobcats roster that have played the entirety of their careers as Bobcats, Nicole Leffand Sierra Dickson.
- Also returning this season is third year Morgan Hill, second year Crystal Smith and second year Jaylin Foster.

ABOUT THE HORNED FROGS

TCU finished the 2023-24 season with a 21-12 record, going 6-12 in conference play. They lost in the second round of the Big 12 Championship to Oklahoma before going to the WBIT where they also lost in the second round.
The Horned Frogs are led by second year head coach mark Campbell, who has a 21-12 record in his tenure.
The Horned Frogs are 2-0 so far this season with wins over Houston Christian and New Orleans.
TCU has a veteran-led program with five graduates and a redshirt senior. Highlighting their senior class is former-3x3 basketball Olympian Hailey Van Lith.

Texas State will return head back on the road for a game at Big 12 conference opponent TCU next week. The game will be Wednesday, Nov. 13 with a 6:30 pm tipoff in Fort Worth.
