SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State cross country is set to compete at the 2024 Sun Belt Conference Cross Country Championships this Friday in Foley, Ala.Â

The men's 8k will kick off the meet at the Graham Creek Nature Preserve at 8:30 am, followed by women's 5k at 9:15 am.

On the men's side, the Bobcats recorded their best 8k average time at the Arturo Barrios Invitational earlier this season, where they averaged a time of 24:29 and placed 25
th overall.Â

The women's best 5k average time came at the Old Glory Gallop after they recorded an 18:11 and placed fourth overall.Â
At the 2023 SBC Cross Country Championships, the men's squad placed fourth overall, tallied 122 points and recorded an average 8k time of 26:41.38. The women's team placed eighth in the 5k, tallied 192 points and recorded an average time of 19:09.82.Â
