SAN MARCOS, TEXAS – Texas State cross country is set to compete at the 2024 NCAA South Central Regional on Friday in College Station, Texas.
The Regional meet will begin with the women's 6K race at 9 a.m., followed by the men's 10K at 10 a.m. Both races will be held at the Watts Cross Country Course.
The Bobcats will not field a women's team but will send
Abigail Parra,
Alexia Tiscareno Macias, and
Kristen Torres to race individually in the 6K, while the men's team will be made up of
Anthony Parra,
Anthony Sandoval,
Jack Deelman,
Koket Jimata, and
Henok Hagos.
The South Central Regional will include 39 men's teams and 40 women's teams, consisting of Abilene Christian, Arkansas State, Baylor, Grambling State, Houston Christian, Lamar, Louisiana State, Louisiana Tech, McNeese State, Nicholls State, Northwestern State, Prairie View A&M, Rice, Sam Houston State, SE Louisiana, SMU, Stephen F. Austin, Texas A&M Corpus-Christi, TCU, Texas Southern, Texas State, UT- Rio Grande Valley, Tulane, Little Rock, Arkansas, Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Central Arkansas, Houston, Louisiana-Lafayette, Louisiana-Monroe, New Orleans, North Texas, St. Thomas, UT Arlington, UT Austin, UT San Antonio, Incarnate Word and West Georgia.
