Henok Hagos finished 66
thin the men's 10K as the two paced Texas State at the NCAA South Central Regional on Friday.Â

Parra recorded her second-best 6K time of the season (20:58) and finished nine spots lower than her 61st-place showing at the 2023 South Central Regional.
Kristen Torres was the second Bobcat to finish on the women's side and placed 93
rd, with a time of 21:42.7.Â

Alexia Tiscareno Macias was the final Bobcat to finish in the women's 6K. Tiscareno Macias placed 100
thoverall with a time of 21:53.9, which was her second-best 6K time of the season.Â

The women's team did not compile a team score as they only had three athletes compete at the meet.Â

On the men's side, Hagos, the freshman from San Antonio, Texas, was the first Texas State athlete to cross the finish line. He placed 66
th overall and recorded a PR of 31:41.1 in the 10K race.Â

Closely behind Hagos were Bobcats
Koket Jimata and
Jack Deelman. Jimata finished the race in 86
th place and recorded a PR of 32:04.8, while Deelman earned a 94
th place finish and set a new PR of 32:11.5.Â

The men's team had all five runners set PRs in route to their 17
th place finish on Friday. They tallied 437 total points and had their best performance at the South Central Regional meet since 2017 when they placed fifth overall.Â
Â
This marked the last meet of the season for Texas State Cross Country. The Bobcats will begin the track and field season on Jan. 25, when they compete at the Ted Nelson Invitational in College Station, Texas.
