Volleyball to Play on Taraflex Floor in Strahan Arena

SAN MARCOS, Texas — The next time Bobcat volleyball takes the court in Strahan Arena, the floor will have a new look to it. Texas State will play on a brand-new Taraflex floor starting when the Bobcats return home to face Arkansas State on Oct. 18.

The new Taraflex floor features the TXST logo in the middle on a light cherry court. The outer edges of the floor will be black with the Bobcat head outline in gold on the right side of the court and 'Bobcats' on the left. The sidelines will feature the SBC logos and the namesake Jeff Foster Court in the top left of the floor. The floor itself is a Taraflex Sport floor by Gerflor.

The new playing surface is a state-of-the-art playing surface for volleyball competition by providing elevated performance, durability, and safety. With its unmatched durability and enhanced shock absorption properties, the Taraflex floor is designed to optimize player performance while minimizing the risk of injury, ensuring that athletes can confidently compete at the highest level.

Texas State joins seven schools other in the Sun Belt to have the Taraflex flooring.

The Bobcats will play their first match on the new flooring on Oct. 18 versus Arkansas State. That match will be at 6 pm with fans able to purchase tickets at txst.com/tickets.
