Texas State recorded their highest 18-hole total of the tournament in the final round of stroke play at the conference championship. The third round of 17-over 305 is their highest round of the season. The Bobcats finished the tournament tied for eighth with James Madison 22-over 886.

As a team the Bobcats had a total of 13 birdies and six double bogeys in the third round.Â

No. 26 Georgia Southern took first place in stroke play among the 14 Sun Belt Conference teams at three-under par. South Alabama, Troy and Louisiana will compete in the match play portion of the tournament tomorrow to determine the tournament champion.Â

Marcelo Garza recorded his highest finish of the season tied for 15
th and first time at the top of the Bobcat lineup, finishing three-over 219. The junior tied for first in most par 5s among the field. This was Garza's fourth 18-hole total of 75 and second 54-hole total of 219 this season.Â

Jack Burke tied for 19
th after shooting four-over 76 in the final round of stroke play. Burke had the second highest number of pars, with a total of 38. This was the third tournament this season Burke finished four-over 220. Freshman
Sakke Siltala ended his first collegiate season tied for 33
rd after shooting six-over 78 for his highest round of the tournament.

Kasper Nyland was the only Bobcat to make progress up the leaderboard, recording his second round of 76 to end 11-over par and tied for 42
nd.
Harrison Hineline had seven bogeys and a triple bogey that put him at the bottom of the Bobcat lineup and tied for 48
th. This was Hineline's first round in the 80s this season.Â
