WHAT THEY'RE SAYING …
Heather Baymon
Coach Zenarae Antoine: "We are so excited that Heather joined our Bobcat family today! Heather is a natural leader that comes from a family built around athletics. She has always been around sport with her family, and she is the ultimate teammate. We knew Heather would fit our style of play based on her scoring ability, leadership skills, and her high motor play. Additionally, Heather comes from a program that is well-coached and grounded in fundamentals and team first concepts."
Coach Annette Steward, Head Girls Basketball Coach at Langham Creek: "Lobo Nation is thrilled to see Heather Baymon join the Bobcat family! Heather's winning attitude and refuse to lose mentality will help the Bobcats continue their winning traditions and their pursuit as Sun Belt Champions! Heather is a phenomenal basketball player with a very high IQ and is always fun to watch. She can make plays, get to the basket, score against anyone, and she can shoot the ball! But, above all, Heather will be the best leader and teammate at Texas State! We are excited to see what she can accomplish with the team under Coach Z."
Saniya Burks
Coach Zenarae Antoine: "Saniya is the product of two parents that played Division 1 Basketball. She is a winner and a competitor in everything that she does. Saniya has left her legacy at Rice High School as one of the best to play in the area. We are so happy to announce Saniya as an addition to our Bobcat Family. She is TEXAS TOUGH! Her ability to score the basketball is special and fits our guard play. A huge separator in her game is her competitive spirit. Welcome, Saniya!"
Coach Antonio Burks, Head Girls Basketball Coach at Rice High School: "We are beyond proud of Saniya! Watching her live out her dream has been fulfilling! We are thankful for her new Bobcat family, and can't wait to see her growth as a student-athlete at the next level!"
Takeira Ramey
Coach Zenarae Antoine: "Welcome, Takeira to our Bobcat Family! Takeira is a high motor, tough and gritty guard that loves defense first. Her family has taught her the value of hard work and trusting the process. From the moment we saw Takeira, we knew that she fit our style of play with her gritty play, elite point guard skills and athleticism. Her "no quit attitude" and toughness makes others around her better & she will thrive at the point guard spot in our system."
Coach Ramon Hounshell, Head Girls Basketball Coach at Massaponax High School: "I'm extremely happy for Takeira to go make a difference at Texas State as she did for Massaponax HS. Takeira was instrumental in our past three district championships and is currently creeping up on breaking the career points, assists, & steals records here. Amongst all of her accolades, I'm most proud of how she separates herself with all the extra, hard work that she does day in and day out when no one is watching. She is a very motivated & committed player who refuses to quit. She is a team player and a remarkable captain for my program and Texas State is lucky to have her."
