SAN MARCOS, Texas – On Friday Texas State women's tennis head coach
Kendall Brooks released the 2024 spring schedule which begins in January.
The upcoming season will feature 10 matches played at the Bobcat Tennis Complex.
The Bobcats will return to the courts when they host North Florida on Jan. 20 in San Marcos, Texas. This will be one of two meetings this season with a first-time opponent. This will begin a four-match homestand for Texas State, the longest of the season. The Bobcats will go on to host UTSA (Jan. 27), UIW (Feb. 1), and Sam Houston (Feb. 2).
Texas State will face Oral Roberts and Tarleton State to kick off a pair of matches in Stephenville, Texas Feb. 10-11. This will be the first meeting for Texas State and Oral Roberts in program history. The next weekend of matches will be played in Nacogdoches, Texas against Stephen F. Austin (Feb. 17) and Lamar (Feb. 18). Texas State returns home for one match against New Mexico State on Feb. 23 before traveling to Harlingen, Texas to compete against UTRGV on March 2 for the final non-conference match of the season.
To open conference play, Texas State will play at Southern Miss (March 9), with five additional road Sun Belt matches to finish the away schedule – Old Dominion (March 23), James Madison (March 24), Marshall (March 28), App State (March 30), and ULM (April 20).
Texas State will have five home Sun Belt matches – Coastal Carolina (March 16), Georgia Southern (March 17), Troy (April 5), Georgia State (April 7), and Louisiana (April 13).
The Sun Belt Conference tournament will be held in Rome, Georgia from April 24-28.
