SAN MARCOS, Texas – After playing its first Sun Belt Conference road match on Thursday, the Texas State soccer team (7-1-2, 1-0-1 Sun Belt) closes out the weekend with a home match on Sunday against ULM (9-1-1, 1-1-0 Sun Belt). Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. at the Bobcat Soccer Complex.

About Texas State
Thursday night saw the Bobcats play to a 1-1 draw at Georgia Southern.
Addison Peters knocked in the tying goal off a corner kick from
Juana Plata late in the 68th minute. The tally was the team's lone shot on goal in the contest. Last time that TXST was undefeated after three conference matches was in 2018 when the team finished 8-0-2 and claim its lone Sun Belt regular season title.
Zoe Junior has scored a team leading four goals with all of them being match-winners, which leads the conference and is tied for third in the nation.
Madi Goss enters with three goals to her name while tallying two scores apiece has been
Bailey Peschel,
Olivia Wright and Peters. Both
Mya Ulloa and Plata have been credited with a team-high two assists.
The reigning Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Week,
Katelyn Chrisman has started nine matches between the posts and comes in with a 1.12 GAA. She has made 28 saves and recorded a .737 save percentage.
About ULM
The Warhawks are coming off a 4-1 victory at home over conference newcomer Southern Miss on Thursday. The Sun Belt opener saw ULM fall 1-0 on the road versus App State despite being up a player for the last 40 minutes. In non-conference play, the Warhawks were undefeated after playing seven SWAC teams, a first-year program (Tarleton State) and a program in its first year of transitioning to the Division I level (Texas A&M-Commerce).
Leading the team with six goals, half of which have come on penalty kicks, and 13 points is Inge Konst. Ashley Washburn has found the back of the net five times and paces ULM with 34 shots and 19 shots on goal. Both Eve Blakey and Mara Grutkamp have scored three times apiece while Grutkamp leads the squad with six assists.
In goal, Mickaela Leal has started nine matches and sports a 0.91 GAA with 34 saves and a .810 save percentage. Starting the other two contests has been Alexa Castro Vivas. She has a 0.50 GAA and made three stops on the year.
All-Time Series
Texas State leads the all-time series 16-7-1. Last season saw ULM claim a 3-1 win in San Marcos on the Bobcats' Senior Day. TXST was undefeated in the earlier seven meetings (6-0-1) prior to last year's setback.
At home, the Bobcats are 7-4-1 with the most recent victory being a 3-1 final on Oct. 25, 2020. Texas State is 6-3-1 versus ULM in Sun Belt matches.
