SAN MARCOS, Texas – For the first time in program history the Texas State soccer team (6-0-1) will host a nationally-ranked opponent when No. 16 TCU (4-2-1) comes to town on Sunday. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. at the Bobcat Soccer Complex.

About Texas State
The Bobcats are coming off a 2-1 win over Rice on Thursday. It was the first over the Owls in 20 years. The seven-match unbeaten streak is tied for the ninth longest in the country.
Both
Madi Goss and
Zoe Junior have scored a team-high three goals. Only other player with multiple goals on the season is
Bailey Peschel with two. May Ulloa enters with a team best two assists while eight other players have been credited with one assist.
Katelyn Chrisman comes in having made six starts between the posts. She sports a 0.83 GAA, 14 saves and a .737 save percentage.
About TCU
The Horned Frogs are coming off a 2-1 win at No. 21 Texas A&M on Thursday. Last weekend saw TCU fall on the road to USC and at home to No. 2 Duke. Other wins have been over Minnesota, No. 16 Santa Clara and UTRGV. The Frogs come in ranked 16th in the TopDrawerSoccer poll and are receiving votes in the United Soccer Coaches poll.
Messiah Bright leads the team with four goals, 10 points, 23 shots and 10 shots on goal. Tyler Isgrig has netted three scores while Gracie Brian and Camryn Lancaster have tallied two goals apiece. Five players have been credited with a team-high two assists.
In goal, Lauren Kellet has started six of the matches and recorded a 1.40 GAA with 22 saves and a .733 save percentage. Azul Alvarez has made two appearances between the posts and has yet to allow a goal while making four saves.
All-Time Series
The all-time series is led by TCU at 4-2-0. The last meeting took place on Sept. 12, 2014 in San Marcos and ended 1-0 in favor of the Frogs. When hosting TCU, Texas State is 1-2-0 all-time. The lone home victory came on Oct. 17, 2001 by a 4-2 score. The most recent Bobcat victory was a 3-0 topping in Fort Worth on Sept. 26, 2010.
