SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State soccer team (11-4-2, 5-3-1 Sun Belt) wraps up the regular season against App State (6-7-3, 5-4-0 Sun Belt) Thursday at 7 p.m. from the Bobcat Soccer Complex. Prior to the match, Bobcat seniors

About Texas State
TXST dropped both matches last week but are still in contention for a top six seed and first round bye in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament. The Bobcats can secure a top six spot with a win or draw. A loss along with Old Dominion not beating Marshall would also claim one of the first round byes.

Madi Goss tallied her team leading ninth goal of the season at Marshall on Sunday. Her total is now tied for the third most by a sophomore in Texas State history. Goss' goal total is tied for the second most in the conference.
Zoe Junior has netted four goals and
Olivia Wright comes in with three tallies to her name. A team-high four assists have come off the left foot of
Juana Plata. Goss ranks second on the team with three assists.

Katelyn Chrisman cracked the program's career top 10 with five saves last Thursday to give her 63 in her career. She enters the regular season finale with a 1.29 GAA, 48 saves and a .716 save percentage.

About App State
The Mountaineers come to San Marcos on a three-matching winning streak after beating Louisiana and Southern Miss this past weekend. App State currently sits sixth in the Sun Belt table and need a win or draw to secure a top six seed in the tournament. A loss plus ODU failing to beat Marshall would also clinch a bye into the quarterfinals for the Mountaineers.

Izzi Wood paces the team with six goals, 48 shots and 23 shots on goal. Katie Fuller comes in with three goals, two of which came against the Ragin' Cajuns, and Shannon Studer has two goals and two assists on the year. Breckyn Monteith has been credited with a team leading three assists.

In goal, Kerry Eagleston has started all 17 matches and played 1,498:08 out of a possible 1,530 minutes. She comes in with a 1.14 GAA, a conference-high 87 saves and a .821 save percentage. For her career, Eagleston has made 346 saves to rank eighth in Sun Belt history.

Texas State leads the all-time series 5-2-1. Last season saw both teams win a match with the Bobcats claiming a 1-0 win on the road with the goal coming from
Mya Ulloa as she put back her own saved penalty kick. App State ended the Bobcats' season with a 2-1 win in the first round of the Sun Belt Tournament.

At home, TXST is 3-0-0 against the Mountaineers. The most recent contest in San Marcos took place on Oct. 6, 2019 and ended 2-0.
