LINCOLN, Neb — After not having a full multi the first two weekends of the indoor season, the Texas State men's and women's multi team wasted little time in dominating its competition throughout this weekend's Adidas Classic.
In the Women's Pentathlon,
Mathilde Canet combined a win in the women's high jump, two second-place finishes, a third-place finish and a top-10 finish to win the even outright by 45 points over South Dakota's Holly Gerberding.
En route to a second-place finish in the Men's Heptathlon,
Ben Collerton earned top-three finishes in all seven events, including a first-place finish in the men's high jump, and just missed winning the overall event by 76 points. Collerton's 5,506-point total was 255 points more than third place.
Both point total from Collerton and Canet were program record as well.
FROM DIRECTOR OF TRACK AND FIELD JOHN FRAZIER
"We had a really good weekend, full of great performances as we prepare for the conference championships in all event areas. Not only great performances, but we were able to identify areas where we can continue to improve upon across the board. Go Bobcats!"
