DES MOINES, Iowa – Competing at the prestigious Drake Relays for the first time since 2007, the Texas State track and field teams posted 10 of the Sun Belt Conference's top 10 times and marks on April 22-24 at Drake Stadium.
Kwanele Mthembu set a school record with the Sun Belt Conference's best time in the 5,000 meters with 14:01.37.
Texas State has two of the Sun Belt's top three times in the 400 meters.
Jaylen Allen ranks second in the Sun Belt with a time of 47.11 seconds, while
Kobe Daniels ranks third with a time of 47.38 seconds.
Lee-Anne Blake ranks second in the Sun Belt's top 1500-meter runners with a time of 4:31.62 at Drake.
Chermariea Hardy has the Sun Belt's sixth-fastest time in the women's 400 meters with 55.51 seconds, and
Breanna Clark has the leagues sixth-best effort in the 800 meters with 2:14.02.

Christine Irving has the seventh-fastest time in Sun Belt with 45.77 seconds.
Katherine Stuckly just missed equaling her season-best and Sun Belt's second-best height when she cleared 1.75 meters (5' 8.75") in the women's high jump. Stucky cleared 1.76 meters (5' 9.25") at the Texas Relays.
Naomi Ferdinand has the best long jump in the Sun Belt with a leap of 5.99 meters (19' 8"). She finished in second place, and equaled her effort at the Texas Relays.
Anayah Washington, who ranks third among Sun Belt leaders, had a wind-aided leap of 5.84 meters (19' 2"), and that is the Sun Belt's 10th-best effort this season.
Ronnie Briscoe who ranks second among Sun Belt leaders, had a long jump of 7.30 meters (23' 11.50"), the ninth-best effort in the conference this season.
Texas State returns home on April 30-May 1 to host the Bobcat Classic at the Texas State Track and Field Stadium. The Bobcats travel to the Sun Belt Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships May 13-15 in Mobile, Alabama.
