Texas State Hosts Bobcat Invitational Track and Field Meet

The Texas State men's and women's track and field teams will compete against 20 teams on Thursday-Saturday, Mar. 25-27, when they host the 2021 Bobcat Invitational at the Texas State Track and Field Complex.
 
The Bobcats will compete against Central Michigan, Concordia, Eastern Illinois, Eastern Michigan, Harding, Incarnate Word, LeTourneau, Nevada, Northern Illinois, Oklahoma Christian, SMU, South Dakota, Texas A&M-Kingsville, Texas Wesleyan, Trinity, UT-Dallas, UT-Tyler, UTEP, VCU, and West Texas A&M.
 
The Bobcat Invitational is spread over three days with an abbreviated schedule consisting of the men's and women's hammer and javelin throws on Thursday.
 
The multi-events, men's and women's discus, long jump, pole vault will be on Friday. Friday's running events begin at 5 p.m. and include the men's and women's 100 meters, 400-meter hurdles, 400 meters, steeplechase, 1,500 meters, and 5,000 meters.
 
The meet concludes on Saturday with the men's and women's high jump, triple jump, and shot put. Saturday's track events start at 3 p.m. and feature the women's 100-meter hurdles, men's 110-meter hurdles, along with the men's and women's 4x100-meter relays, 800 meters, 200 meters, and the 4x400-meter relays.
