SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State baseball team (8-13) is back home this week beginning with a game on Wednesday against Oklahoma (12-7). First pitch will be at 6 p.m. at Bobcat Ballpark.

Brant Freeman and Ty Harrington on the call. An audio broadcast can be found on KTSW 89.9 FM while live stats will also be available for the contest.

The Bobcats dropped all three games this past weekend at Little Rock.
Tucker Redden led the team at the plate going 4-for-7 over two games to raise his season average to .350.

Justin Thompson continues to lead Texas State in batting average (.363), hits (29), RBI (21) and doubles (6). Also batting .300 and over on the season is
Peyton Lewis (.300) and Redden.
Will Hollis (11) and
Jaxon Williams (12) have drive in double-digit runs this season.

Scheduled to start on the rubber against the Sooners is
Zeke Wood. The junior right-hander has made four starts on the season and is 1-1 with a 5.30 ERA. He has thrown 18.2 innings and struck out 18 but has also issued 16 walks.

ABOUT OKLAHOMA
OU enters the game on a six-game winning streak after sweeping a series at home over Houston. The Sooners also won the last two games of a series against Arkansas State and beat then No. 1 Arkansas on the road last Tuesday in Fayetteville. Following Wednesday's game, OU will say in Central Texas as it will begin Big XII Conference play this weekend at Texas.

Tyler Hardmen comes in leading the Sooners with a .467 batting average, 35 hits and 25 runs scored. He has also hit six doubles, two home runs and driven in 16. Tanner Tredaway is batting .361 with five doubles, 16 RBI and 16 runs scored.

Jimmy Crooks comes in with a team-high 25 runs scored, seven doubles and five home runs. Also bashing five homers while plating a team best 23 runs is Conor McKenna.

Slated to start on the mound is Javier Ramos. He is 1-0 with a 10.57 ERA and eight strikeouts over 7.2 innings. The redshirt freshman has made six appearances with one start this season. His lone start came on Mar. 9 against UT Arlington in which he allowed four runs on two hits and three walks in two innings.

SERIES VS. THE SOONERS
A slight edge in the series (5-4) belongs to Oklahoma. Wednesday will be the first meeting since Feb. 2, 2007. That game took place in Edinburg, Texas with Texas State winning 8-3.

The contest will also be the first time the teams will meet in San Marcos. The teams have played six times in Norman, splitting the meetings, and three times at neutral sites.
