SAN MARCOS, Texas – Following four consecutive matches on the road, the Texas State soccer team (2-7-1, 2-3-0 Sun Belt) concludes its regular season slate with three straight home contests beginning Saturday against Arkansas State (6-0-0, 5-0-0 Sun Belt). Kickoff is scheduled for 12 p.m. at the Bobcat Soccer Complex.
The match will be streamed on ESPN+ with
Brant Freeman providing play-by-play and Lindsay Mason-Yanko as the analyst. Live stats for the contest will also be available.

Goals2Cure
Texas State is putting on its fourth annual Goals2Cure initiative that raises funds in support of women fighting ovarian cancer. TXST is collecting pledges for each goal scored this season with donations going directly to benefit the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition. To donate, go to the following link:

Last Weekend
The Bobcats split their two matches last weekend in the Pelican State beginning with a 2-1 win at ULM.
Sydney Kammer scored the opening goal nearly midway through the 11th minute. After the Warhawks tied the contest just over two minutes into the second half,
Bailey Peschel netted the match-winner late in the 64th minute.
Sunday's contest saw Louisiana net the lone goal while TXST was held to just nine shot attempts.
Beth Agee combined to make eight saves in the two matches to increase her season total to 55. She continues to lead the Sun Belt Conference and the nation in saves. The freshman is also closing on cracking the top 10 for career saves and top three for saves by a Bobcat freshman.
Scouting Arkansas State
Arkansas State defeated Little Rock 1-0 at home and ULM 3-0 on the road last weekend to remain undefeated on the season and in conference play. The Red Wolves play their next two matches on the road, including Saturday's contest, before ending the season against Central Arkansas (Oct. 18) and Louisiana (Oct. 25).
Sarah Sodoma, this week's Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Week, leads ASU with five goals, four assists, 22 shots and nine shots on goal. Hailey Furio has scored three goals and both she and Darby Stotts are second on the team with nine shot attempts apiece. Also scoring multiple times this season is Olivia Smith with two goals.
Megan McClure was named this week's Sun Belt Defensive Player of the week after her two shutouts increased her season total to five. The senior has started all six matches in goal and sports a 0.17 GAA, 15 saves and a .938 save percentage.
Hailey Hilock has started all three matches between the posts. She has surrendered 12 goals for a 4.00 GAA while making 16 saves to sport a .571 save percentage.
All-Time vs. Red Wolves
Texas State holds a slim 5-4-1 advantage all-time in the series but are winless in the last three meetings (0-2-1). The first matchup this season between the squads in Jonesboro on Sept. 27 saw Arkansas State come out on top 2-0.
When hosting the Red Wolves, the Bobcats are 3-1-0 all-time. The last victory for TXST in the series came at home on Sept. 30, 2018 by a 2-1 score. The lone loss at the Bobcat Soccer Complex took place on Oct. 9, 2016 by a score of 1-0.
