ABOUT TEXAS STATE
The Bobcats enter the four-game week off a series win over the South Alabama Jaguars. Texas State averaged 7.3 runs scored per contest, including 10.5 per victory. The team found great success on the base paths as TXST successfully stole 13-of-14 attempts. Junior infielder Bailee Carter swiped four bases to lead the Bobcats in the series.

Junior catcher Haleigh Davis provided the boost the Texas State offense desperately needed. She went .500 (5-for-10) at the plate with one triple and four runs batted in. She scored one run and was not struck out. Junior infielder Hailey MacKay went 3-for-8 (.375) at the dish and matched the mark set by Davis for the team lead with four RBI.

Texas State pitching showed great improvement over the weekend as the team posted a cumulative earned run average of 2.72. Senior pitcher Krista Jacobs led the way in the circle with an ERA of 1.75. She appeared in two games (one start) and tossed 8.0 innings of ball. She surrendered just two earned runs on 12 hits and three walks. Jacobs fanned six batters.

ABOUT INCARNATE WORD
The Cardinals enter the midweek clash after a tough three-game stretch against McNeese State. UIW dropped all three games in the series by a combined score of 15-3.

Incarnate Word does not boast an intimidating lineup as the team hits .172 collectively. UIW has scored only 31 runs in 20 games and have been blanked nine times. Sophomore catcher Jenna Bleiberg is the most consistent batter in the regular starting rotation with an average of .244 and three runs batted in.

In the circle, sophomore pitcher Brett Coleman has accrued the most work with 51.2 innings thrown. She carries and ERA of 4.61 and has struck out 31 batters this season.

ABOUT ULM
The Warhawks have stumbled out of the gate in the 2019 season, winning only four of the first 26 games of the year. ULM suffered a 15-game losing streak prior to the start of league play and have won one-of-six conference games this season.

ULM ranks near or at the bottom in most offensive categories, including: batting average (.225), slugging percentage (.287), OBP (.295), and runs scored (69). Senior outfielder Sydney McKay and junior utility player Jessie Watts have proven to be bright spots in the Warhawk lineup. McKay leads the team with an average of .415. She has added 11 runs batted in and a team-high 15 runs scored. Watts holds an average of .309 and leads the squad in RBI with 15.

Watts is also one-of-three Warhawk pitchers to accumulate 40.0 innings of work or more in the circle. She leads the team in strikeouts with 23. Freshman pitcher Adrianna Chavarria leads ULM with an ERA of 3.70 in 41.2 innings of work, while freshman pitcher Murphy Williams has tossed 40.0 innings this season.
