Played prep softball at Leander High School … Three-time All-District 25-4A/5A after tallying a .531 batting average with 10 home runs and 99 RBI prep career … Earned both offensive and defensive team MVP honors in 2015 and 2016 … After hitting .461 with five home runs and 41 RBI in 2013, MacKay was named a Freshman Fab 5 and Dazzling Dozen performer by the Austin American Statesman … Helped Leander to three area and bi-district championships, while guiding the Lions to the regional round of the state tournament … Played travel ball for the Texas Blaze 18U Gold, winning the 2016 TCS National Championship and finishing second at the 2016 IDT Tournament.
