ABOUT TEXAS STATE
Senior guard Toshua Leavitt earned her fourth career 30-point game in the victory over the Red Wolves as she finished with a game-high 31 points. All four of her 30-point efforts have come on the road in league play. Leavitt has twice scored 30-plus points against Georgia State, both coming in Atlanta. For her career, she averages 18.2 points per game on 47.6 percent shooting from deep against GSU. Throughout her storied career, Leavitt has made at least five 3-point field goal attempts in 26 games. She has achieved the feat five times as a senior. Leavitt had made eight or more triples seven times. Texas State holds a record of 20-6 when Leavitt makes at least five 3-pointers.

Freshman guard Kennedy Taylor has emerged as the go-to option off the Bobcat bench. Since the start of conference play, she has seen an uptick in minutes. Taylor has played an average of 19.5 minutes per game in the last six and adds a team-best 3.5 assists per game during the six-game Sun Belt schedule. Kennedy posted career-highs in both points (13) and steals (four) at Little Rock before scoring six points and handing out nine assists at Arkansas State.

With a career record at Texas State of 120-118, head coach Zenarae Antoine is fourth in program history in career victories. She trails Suzanne Fox (174), Judy Rinker (145) and Linda Sharp (138) on the all-time list.

SCOUTING GEORGIA STATE
Texas State and Georgia State met once already this season in the opening weekend of Sun Belt Conference play in Atlanta. The Bobcats emerged victorious, 69-60, thanks in large part to a career-high 35 points from Leavitt. Junior guard Brooke Holle posted a double-double with 14 points and a career-best 15 rebounds. GSU's leading scorer, sophomore guard Jada Lewis tallied a team-high 16 points.

GSU has played a tough Sun Belt slate in the early stages of conference play. The Panthers opened Sun Belt play with an upset victory over UTA and bookended the win by toppling league-leading Troy by a score of 84-80 last time out.

On the season, Lewis leads the Bobcats with 15.9 points and 2.4 assists per game. Graduate center Walnatia Wright adds nearly a double-double per night with 10.8 points and 9.1 rebounds. Wright ranks third in the conference in rebounds per game. Senior forward Allison Johnson gives GSU a third double-digit scorer as she puts in 10.0 points and 5.8 rebounds per contest.

SCOUTING GEORGIA SOUTHERN
TXST and GS opened the 2018-19 conference season in Statesboro, Ga. at Hanner Fieldhouse. Texas State escaped with a 64-52 victory on Jan. 3. The loss was the second of a seven-game losing streak for the Panthers. Georgia Southern has lost all six Sun Belt games this season by an average margin of 12.8 points.

Junior guard Alexis Brown leads GS on the offensive end of the floor with a 17.1 points per game average. Brown, the younger sister of All-Sun Belt men's performer Tookie Brown, is the reigning Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week after scoring a season-best 34 points in the loss to Troy. She is tied for second in the league in scoring and fourth in steals.
