ABOUT TEXAS STATE
The Texas State offense is run by preseason all-conference selection, senior guard Toshua Leavitt. She averages a team-best 16.9 points per night which is the third-highest output in the Sun Belt Conference. The sharpshooting combo guard has reached double-figures in 14-consecutive ballgames dating back to the 2017-18 season. Leavitt has canned 277 career 3-point field goals, one shy of matching the conference record set by Western Kentucky's Leslie Logsdon in 2005.

Junior guard Brooke Holle regained some traction on the offensive end of the floor in back-to-back games. She has led the Bobcats in scoring two-straight nights, including 13 points against the Islanders of Texas A&M – Corpus Christi and 16 points against the Oklahoma State Cowgirls. She averages 9.9 points per outing, good for second on the team.

Senior forward Zandra Emanuel turned in one of her best performances since joining the program three seasons ago out of Coastal Bend College. Against the Cowgirls, Emanuel secured a team-best eight rebounds to match a career-high. She also tallied eight points on 4-of-7 shooting from the floor.

SCOUTING ST. THOMAS
The Celts are led by junior guard Sheridan Hopkins. She is averaging a staggering 23.6 points per game in the early stages of the season. Hopkins opened the season with back-to-back 30-point outings in victories over University of Dallas and Southwestern Christian (Okla.). She scored 21 points in a loss to Dillard. In 26 games a season ago, Hopkins scored 22.8 points and grabbed 8.8 rebounds per game.

As an NAIA program, UST has the option to turn any non-NAIA schedule games into an exhibition game. Any exhibition contest is not reflected in the overall team record. So far this season, the Celts have played exhibition contests against Texas A&M – Corpus Christi and UTRGV. Both exhibition games resulted in 30-point losses.

SERIES HISTORY
The Bobcats and Celts have met once before on the hardwood, an 85-45 Bobcat victory on Dec. 29, 2013. Five Bobcats reached double-figures in the scorebook, led by Ashley Ezeh and Erin Peoples with 14 points each. Ezeh ripped down a team-best nine rebounds in the win. Texas State's bench outscored the visiting St. Thomas reserves, 42-8, in the contest.

UP NEXT FOR THE BOBCATS
