SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State women's tennis team plays its final home match of the season against UT Rio Grande Valley this Saturday at the Bobcat Tennis Complex beginning at 10 a.m. The Bobcats will honor their lone senior,
Katy Collins, who is playing her final home match at Texas State.
Texas State enters Saturday with a 7-12 overall record and is 2-3 in SBC play after dropping a pair of matches to UL Lafayette and UT Arlington last weekend.

Eva Dench and freshman
Ana Perez's singles victories accounted for Texas State's two points in a 4-2 loss against UL Lafayette. The Bobcats also fell 4-0 against UT Arlington despite several close matches.
Freshman
Ana Perez leads Texas State with nine wins this year and has an 8-8 record in spring dual matches. Perez enters the UTRGV match having won her last two decisions and was ahead in two other matches when they were halted.
Dench and
Pippa Carr have a 5-1 record as Texas State's No. 2 doubles team this spring after both of their matches were halted last weekend after the doubles point was decided in each match. They have combined to win their last three decisions against Central Arkansas, ULM and UTSA.
Collins enters Saturday's match tied for second among team leaders with eight victories this year. She won four matches in the fall and four matches this spring. Dench also has won eight singles matches this year after posting her third win of the spring against UL Lafayette.
UT Rio Grande Valley enters Saturday's match with a 9-8 overall record and are third in the WAC standings with a 3-2 mark.
Dominique Ibarra leads the Vaqueros squad with a 12-8 singles record and after winning her last two matches.
Following Saturday's match against UT Rio Grande Valley, the Bobcats travel to New Orleans for the Sun Belt Conference Tournament on April 21-24.
