The Series Texas State trails Texas A&M in the all-time series, 13-39, but the Bobcats won the last meeting, 4-1, in San Marcos. Both teams scored in the first inning, but the Bobcats answered with three runs in the second, and that proved to be the difference.
Tyler Pearson was a perfect 3-for-3 in the game while a pretty impressive group of pitchers took the mound for the Bobcats:
Lucas Humpal,
Scott Grist,
Austen Williams,
Donnie Hart and
Hunter Lemke. The win was one of four against the Aggies for Head Coach
Ty Harrington who stands at 4-14 against Texas A&M. The last time the Bobcats beat the Aggies at their place was April 24, 2001, a 7-4 victory.
