San Marcos, Texas – Texas State welcomes UTSA, the top team in the Western Athletic Conference, to Bobcat Ballpark at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday night for the next installment of the I-35 Rivalry in a non-conference midweek game. The game pits Texas State's top pitching against UTSA's top hitting.
                                 
The Roadrunners boast the top three hit leaders in the WAC along with three of the top four RBI hitters and four of the top five players in runs scored. As a team, UTSA leads the conference in batting average (.338), slugging percentage (.481), on-base percentage (.415), runs scored (100), hits (146), RBI (88) and home runs (seven).
 
Meanwhile, Texas State pitching leads the WAC in strikeouts with 106 and strikeouts looking with 37. The Bobcats are the only team not to allow a home run this season.
