Denver, Colo. – The Texas State softball team was picked to win the 2013 Western Athletic Conference title, announced today by the league office. The teams were voted on by the WAC softball coaches. The Bobcats received five first-place votes with a total of 43 points. San Jose State was picked to finish second with 42 points had two first-place votes.
The Bobcats return all of its starters from a year ago, including a group of seniors that have made back-to-back appearances to the NCAA Tournament. Seniors Anne Marie Taylor and Anna Hernandez were selected to the All-WAC Preseason Team.
