San Marcos, Texas – After eight consecutive games on the road, the Texas State baseball team will return to Bobcat Ballpark this weekend for a three-game series against Central Arkansas. The Bobcats will look to snap a six-game losing skid beginning on Friday at 6:30 p.m. in the first game of the series. The two teams will then match up on Saturday at 2 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m.

Texas State holds a 20-16 overall record and 8-10 mark in the Southland Conference entering the weekend to sit in a tie for seventh place in the league standings. After dropping the series finale against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi two weekends ago, the Bobcats were swept by Southeastern Louisiana last weekend to run the team's losing streak in conference games to four. However, Texas State will look to turn things around this weekend at home where the team is 13-3 this season.

Central Arkansas is 16-17 overall with a 10-8 record in SLC action, tying the Bears for third place in the conference. Most recently, UCA swept Nicholls in a three-game set one weekend after taking two of three games against Southeastern Louisiana on the road.

While Central Arkansas has won the last two games against Texas State, the Bobcats and head coach Ty Harrington hold an 11-4 all-time advantage over the Bears.
