Women’s Basketball Continues Road Trip In El Paso Saturday

Notes

San Marcos, Texas –
The Texas State women's basketball team continues its two-game road trip Saturday, in El Paso, when it takes on UTEP for the fifth consecutive year. The Bobcats have faced the Miners in El Paso each of the previous four years, with the last meeting in San Marcos coming in 2003.

The Bobcats are coming off their toughest game of the season on Wednesday against No. 17 Oklahoma State. Texas State got off to a 16-6 lead in the hostile environment, but the size of the Cowgirls caught up in the second half, as Oklahoma State pulled away for a 90-55 win.

UTEP enters Saturday's game off its first loss of the year on Wednesday, against WAC opponent New Mexico State, in Las Cruces, 69-68. The Miners made an appearance in the 2012 NCAA Tournament after  winning the Conference USA Tournament.

The game will tip off at 8 p.m., central time. Live video and audio is available at utepathletics.com.
