Sierra Dickson Earns Sun Belt Postgraduate Scholarship

NEW ORLEANS – Texas State women's basketball's Sierra Dickson was one of eight student-athletes selected to receive the 2025 Sun Belt Conference Postgraduate Scholarship that the conference office announced on Wednesday.
 
Dickson was a five-year letter winner as a member of Texas State's women's basketball program and part of the 2022-23 Sun Belt Regular Season Championship team. Due to her fifth season of eligibility from Covid-19, Dickson began working on her Master of Business Administration which she will continue this fall.
 
In her five years at Texas State, Dickson was named to the College Sports Communicators All-District Team as well as the Texas State and Sun Belt Conference Commissioner's list multiple times. Dicksom also served as a representative on the Student Athlete Advisory Committee.
 
Dickson played in 130 games in her career while scoring 493 points and bringing down 223 rebounds. She had 103 steals and 114 assists on top of that. Dickson was part of the team's 2022-23 regular season title after a 13-5 run in Sun Belt play had the team finish atop the Sun Belt Conference.
 
Dickson was one of eight Sun Belt Athletes to receive this award including Abby Grosinske of Troy, Delien Kleinhaus of South Alabama, Ellie McIntyre of Georgia Southern, Nicolette Picone of Coastal Carolina and Alaina West of Georgia State. Kiersten Donnelly of Old Dominion and Ethan Bowens of Marshall were the overall male and female postgraduate award winners.
