A single by Stumph plated Jeff McVaney later in the second inning as the Bobcats claimed a 7-0 advantage after an inning and a half.
Turner cruised through the first three innings, scattering just three hits while striking out one in the early going.
The Bobcats added on to their lead in the top of the fourth inning after the first three batters of the inning reached base. Kyle Kubitza led off the inning with a double down the left-field line and stole third base for his 11th successful swipe of the season. McVaney then walked and Stumph doubled to the wall in left field to bring Kubitza in for a 8-0 lead. After Kalenkosky hit a sacrifice fly that brought home McVaney for a 9-0 lead, Isaac Nuti hit a two-RBI single back up the middle to make it 11-0, and two batters later, Sibley hit his second bomb of the day to the woods behind the left-field fence for a 14-0 Texas State lead after three and a half innings.
