San Marcos, Texas – The Texas State men's and women's cross country teams will compete at the Incarnate Word Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 2. The race will be held at Live Oak City Park in northeast San Antonio.
The men's 8k race will begin at 8:00 a.m., followed by the women's 5k event at 8:45 a.m.
Steffanie Armstrong had a strong performance at the Cowboy Jamboree last weekend. Armstrong finished 30th overall with a time of 23:11.57 to lead the women's team to a 10th place finish.
Junior Michael Morris was the top finisher for the men's team at the Cowboy Jamboree. Morris' time of 26:32.50 was the 43rd fastest time of the day in the very competitive field. Senior Jonathan Hernandez was right behind Morris with a time of 26:40.31.
This will be the last meet for the Bobcats before the Southland Conference Championships on Oct. 28 in Beaumont, Texas.
