The Texas State women's soccer team will head down I-35 to pay a visit to the UTSA Roadrunners on Friday night. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m. at the UTSA Rec Sports Complex. Admission into the game is free.

Scouting Texas State
Texas State (6-4-0) is riding a four-game win streak into this weekend. In its past four games, Texas State has allowed only one goal. They have outscored their opponents 15-1.

 

The Bobcats have not suffered a loss by an SLC opponent since Nov. 2, 2007.

 

Scouting UTSA
UTSA (5-5-0) is coming off a 4-1 loss to TCU last Friday. The Roadrunners have a trio of players with four goals apiece. Maria Jose Rojas leads UTSA with 13 points.

Person and Frazier Earn SLC Weekly Accolades

Texas State women's soccer picked up two Southland Conference weekly honors for their performance over the weekend. Taylor Person was named defender of the week and Lauren Frazier picked up goalkeeper accolades, announced by the league office Tuesday.

 

Person scored her first goal of the season from 25 yards out to give Texas State its final goal in a 3-0 win over TCU on the road. Person and the Bobcat defense held TCU to six shots on goal to pick up their fourth straight win.

 

Frazier earned her fourth shutout of the season on Sunday. She faced 24 shots, and allowed zero goals scored to improve her goals against average to 0.94, bringing her save percentage to 0.85.

Texas State will return home on Friday, Oct. 8 to host Central Arkansas at 7:00 p.m. The Bobcats also play at home on Sunday, Oct. 10 against Northwestern State at 1:00 p.m.
