Box Score

San Antonio, Texas –
Texas State (6-5, 0-1 SLC) dropped a 1-0 decision to UTSA (5-5, 1-0 SLC) tonight in its first Southland Conference game of the season.

Despite a hard fought effort through 90 minutes of play, Texas State suffered its first loss in conference play since 2007.

The Roadrunners scored the lone goal of the game when Laurel Dierking received a pass from Jodi Leroy to nail a shot across the box from the right side in the 16th minute of play.

Tonight's loss snapped a four-game win streak by the Bobcats. Lauren Frazier recorded four saves, but took the loss in the net to fall to 6-5.

Texas State returns to the Bobcat Soccer Complex on Friday, Oct. 8 at 7:00 p.m., when it hosts Central Arkansas. The Bobcats will play Northwestern State on Oct. 10 at 1:00 p.m.
