Texas State University is a member of the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) and is committed to operating its athletics program in a manner consistent with NCAA, Conference and University rules and regulations. The principle of institutional control is a fundamental requirement of the NCAA and includes the institution’s oversight of and responsibility for the actions of coaches, staff, student-athletes, boosters and fans.

It is the role of the Texas State Athletics Compliance office to keep these groups abreast of NCAA and Conference regulations, which is critical to ensuring rules compliance. While the Athletic Compliance Office strives to provide on-going rules education, everyone can play a role in ensuring that the Bobcats win within the rules. Please use this website to become familiar with the various NCAA rules, but please remember to ask before you act.

If you questions about NCAA rules and regulations, please contact the Athletics Compliance Office at 512-245-8322 or athleticscompliance@txstate.edu
