Fans and Boosters

As a member of the NCAA, Texas State University must abide by the NCAA rules and regulations in all aspects of our athletics program. In addition to ensuring that its coaches, administrators, faculty, staff and student-athletes are aware of and follow the NCAA rules, Texas State is also responsible for the actions of its fans and boosters.

Under NCAA rules, you are considered a TXST booster, also known as a “representative of athletics interest”, if you are any of the following:

•TXST Student
•TXST Employee
•TXST Alumnus
•TXST Donor
•TXST Ticket Holder

You are also considered a TXST booster if you have done any of the following:

•Been a member of a sports booster club (i.e. Bobcat Club)
•Made a financial contribution to TXST Athletics or TXST Athletics booster organizations
•Arranged for, or provided employment for TXST student-athletes
•Been involved in promoting TXST athletics program

Once you have been identified as a “representative of athletics interest”, you retain that identity forever.
